Rodger Smith - CEO
Rodger Smith is an online sales and marketing expert who has lent his business prowess to many successful corporations including Nu Skin, Ancestry.com, Novell, Big Planet, SportsNuts.com and Integracore.
In 2002, he co-founded MyMangosteen.com, a website system that reinvented marketing for home businesses in the direct sales and MLM industries. Taking with him an extensive knowledge of online and network marketing, he co-founded Solution X, whose clients do total annual sales of over 15 Billion dollars in over 75 countries.
Rodger has been a "full-time" distributor in XanGo, building "downline" organization of over 50,000 associates. Because of his success, Rodger has consulted with top distributors and companies on every aspect of MLM and Internet marketing, including AVON, Tupperware, Monavie, Agel, XanGo, NuSkin, Max International, ViaViente, Zrii, eXfuze, Kyani, Syntek, New Vision, Tahitian Noni and Qivana.
His favorite part of success is giving back. He has donated his time in Honduras and Nicaragua working with Cause for Hope and translating for doctors and medical students serving in the Peruvian Amazon with the Hope Alliance.
As a personal trainer and fitness enthusiast, he enjoys strength and cardiovascular training, almost any sport and spending time on the lakes of Utah, Nevada and Arizona with family and friends. Rodger, his wife and his children reside in Orem, Utah where they participate in church, civic and recreational activities.

Scott Shields - President
Scott joined Solution X in August 2008. He has already been instrumental in closing a multi-million dollar asset purchase and funding with an east coast institutional investment group for Solution X.
Scott brings many years of experience in corporate management, law, and finance, including FHP, a Fortune 500 company. He received his Juris Doctorate degree from Western State University College of Law, and received his Bachelor of Science in Business Administration from the University of La Verne in Southern California.
Scott has been involved in sales and marketing for many years, including over a decade in the Network Marketing field.
Scott served and lived in Tahiti for two years and speaks fluent French, Tahitian, and Spanish. Scott has been married to his wife Dorene for over 26 years, and they are the proud parents of eight children. Scott and his family love being in the outdoors biking, climbing, and hiking. Has climbed Half Dome in Yosemite National Park four times, and climbed Mt. Whitney, the highest peak in the continental USA. He is a huge college football fan and can be found every Saturday in the fall at Lavell Edwards Stadium rooting for his beloved BYU Cougars.

Jared Riley - Operations
As the head of Operations for Solution X, Jared is responsible for addressing strategic Internet technology issues as well as overseeing day-to-day operation of the Solution X client web properties and development projects. He has more than 10 years of experience with Web-based application development and content management solutions.
Prior to joining Solution X, Jared co-founded and served as the President of Circle Tree Media and IDI Technology, development firms that specialized in web production, application development, database integration, and communication portals. During his tenure at Circle Tree, he oversaw the development of a new content management platform and the roll out of replicating web site technology.
Jared received a bachelor's degree from Boise State University. He is married and the father of three children.

Nate Draschil - Development
Nate is a Texas native who could (and did at one point) live off of BBQ, Bluebell Ice Cream, and Dr. Pepper. He's managed projects, clients, and personnel in the network marketing industry for more than ten years.
As Director of Development, Nate lives at that critical intersection where the Solution X executives, clients, and development team connect. Equal parts manager, technology evangelist, and geek, he leads the project management team, helps strategize product development, and isn't afraid to get his hands dirty in the code if it means getting things done.
Prior to coming to Solution X, Nate recruited language and technical specialists for Nu Skin and Big Planet, used web technology to develop grassroots political organizations, and pioneered a micro-loan program in Russia to help locals have a positive free market experience.
Nate has a bundle of children and a bachelor's degree from Brigham Young University. He likes his technology useable, his copy concise, and his literature Russian.

Ryan Riley - Development
Ryan started his carrier in the Silicon Valley during the mid 1990’s, where he played an integral part in launching a number of world-wide products and services on the web.
Ryan co-founded, Circle Tree Media, a application consulting firm with his brother Jared and for more than six years they worked together in empowering their clients to successfully promote applications, leverage e-commerce, manage internal operations, market products and personalize information enhancing the user experience.
Some of these clients included: Kaiser Permanente, City of Redwood City, Universal Studios, Port Authority of Oakland, 8x8, Inc., Albertsons, and others.
Ryan’s experiences and knowledge have earned him a three technology patents that focus on the automation of data over advanced networking applications. He is also an adjunct professor at Boise State University in the Applied Technology Department.
Solution X has benefited from his vast portfolio of project experience and marketing insights in using browser-based technologies to promote products, opportunities and social networking. His specialties include: web application development, network architecture, database design integration, UI design and concepts, dynamic content management and more.

Doug Long – Business Development
Doug has helped Solution X to conceptualize and create new products that could work in harmony with the Solution X InterNetworking™ System. Doug continues to work in the initial sales process for new clients, oversees and manages key client accounts, provides training for clients and system subscribers, and is always looking for new ways to help Solution X clients get the most out of the products Solution X provides.
Doug’s educational background focused on communications for which he earned a degree from Brigham Young University and ultimately led him to a career in television broadcasting. Doug spent nearly 15 years behind the anchor desk before jumping into another communications medium, the Internet. Doug spent 4 more years marketing online and traveling around the world teaching and training thousands of people how to make money on the Internet through direct sales and network marketing.
Doug has written training books and manuals for the direct sales industry and has tapped into his Broadcast Media experience by narrating online audio and video training courses for many well known companies in the Network Marketing industry.
Doug was born and raised in the shadow of the Wasatch Mountains of the great state of Utah. He and his wife, Sheri, live in Sandy, Utah with their family.

Joseph Draschil – Marketing
When it comes to products, Joseph advocates beauty, simplicity, quality, and first-class user-experience, which is probably why he loves Apple, Dyson vacuums, and Karmann Ghias so much.
As head of the marketing department, Joseph strives for that excellence in developing and maintaining strong branding, imaging, PR and media solutions for Solution X and its clients.
Joseph's strong blend of creative and business stems from his background as the ultimate jack-of-all-trades—a film producer. Prior to joining Solution X, Joseph worked as Director of Film, Video, and Multimedia for Decade Media, a media production and ad agency, and as a producer/production manager for the LDS Motion Picture Studio and BYU F.A.R.M.S.
Whether it is training the Brazilian sport of Capoeira, performing with the improv group Comedy Sportz, working on real estate and investments, or learning every Apple keyboard shortcut, Joseph's always got something going. If you ask him, though, his favorite pastime just might be going to movies and fine dining with his wife and best friend Melinda.

Brett Merritt – Creative Content
As the head of Solution X creative content, Brett determines the writing, image, video, and audio needs of each client and works closely with the Marketing and Design teams to create a usable and beautiful website or media tool that converts people into customers. His main responsibility is to write, edit or delegate every piece of web, print and media copy for clients and internal projects for Solution X.
Prior to joining Solution X, Brett was a part of the rapid growth of the leading XanGo distributor website MyMangosteen.com as a content creator and customer support manager. He got his start learning the needs of the Network Marketing industry by working for Nu Skin and Big Planet in the mid-90s as a Rep in the Distributor and Technical Support departments.
After graduating from Utah Valley University in 2003 with a degree in English, Brett became a journalist for The Daily Herald in Provo, UT and wrote hundreds of feature articles and film, theater and concert reviews. In addition to writing, he oversaw the weekly production of UV, the weekly entertainment insert.
In his limited spare time, Brett manages The Thrillionaires, a theater improv and workshop training group he co-founded in 2006. They perform weekly at the Covey Center for the Arts in Provo, UT. He has appeared in more than 50 regional and national commercials, independent films and theatrical productions. He and his wife Amelia and their two children live in Provo, UT.

Dave Brown – Support
Dave Brown was born and raised in North Carolina as the fourth child of five. He grew up with a passion for sports, especially basketball. He graduated high school with honors and moved west to attend BYU-Idaho in Rexburg. After serving a two-year church mission in the outskirts of Quetzaltenango, Guatemala he returned back west to continue college at Utah Valley University in Orem, UT graduating in 2008 with a B.S. in Digital Media, Magna Cum Laude.
Dave started working for Solution X in November 2004 in Customer Support. He now manages the department as well as handling accounts as a Project Manager. His media degree also allows him to be a point of expertise in our Media Production offering to clients.
Previously Dave has managed teams in a variety of projects including production on an educational webisode series for a non-profit organization. Dave is film and music aficionado and has been married to his wife Heather for four years.

Natalyn Lewis – Consultant
With more than 12 years of Direct Sales and Network Marketing industry experience as a corporate employee, industry consultant, and experienced distributor Natalyn Lewis brings a lot to the Solution X team. Recently Senior Director of Distributor Success Programs at Nu Skin Enterprises, Natalyn spent 10 years with the industry leading company.
Beyond the industry and work experience, Natalyn’s commitment to excellence also made her an Academic All-American collegiate athlete, playing five years on the Brigham Young University women’s soccer team. Today, she serves as the Director of Coaching and Player Development for the Celtic Storm Soccer Club and is the Varsity Head Coach for the Timpanogos girls soccer team.
Natalyn is a published author and is actively involved in speaking, training, consulting and coaching as outlets in lifting and inspiring others to a knowledge of their potential.
Natalyn currently resides in Utah with her husband of eleven years and their three beautiful children.

Jonathan D. Shapiro, CFA, CPA – Treasurer
Jonathan began his career at Franchise Mortgage Acceptance Company, evaluating corporate loans. After FMAC, he joined UBS Investment Bank, advising corporate clients in Mergers and Acquisitions and Consumer Products & Retail in both New York and London.
Jonathan is a partner at Ropart Asset Management, the acting CFO of DeerTech, serves on the boards of Digital Traffic Systems and Solution X Global as Treasurer, and participates on the boards of DeerTech, MediaTrust, and ViSalus Holdings.
Jonathan received an MBA from Columbia Business School and an MBA from London Business School. He received an MS in Accounting from the Lubin School of Business at Pace where he attended on scholarship. Jonathan graduated Magna Cum Laude and Phi Beta Kappa from Rutgers College, completing a BS in Computer Science in three years.
Jonathan is a member of VITA (Volunteer Income Tax Assistance), NYSSA (New York Society of Security Analysts), the CFA Institute, the American Institute of CPAs, and serves on the board of his cooperative building in NYC as Secretary.

Eric Nelson – Design
Eric, manager of the Solution X design team, has 20 years of experience as a graphic designer with experience in print, web and interactive design, working in the mass communication, mass market and MLM industries.
1995-2000: Graphic Designer for Twinlab in American Fork, Utah, that specializes in high quality, science-based, nutritional supplements, including a complete line of vitamins, minerals, nutraceuticals, sports nutrition and herbal products.
2000-2007: Senior Graphic Designer for Nu Skin Enterprises. While at Nu Skin he worked with Pharmanex, Big Planet, and Photomax. Eric also work on humanitarian projects, such as Force for Good and Nourish the Children. Eric was instrumental in helping design and development of the current look and feel and branding of Nu Skin's current US websites.
Eric, a Northern California native, graduated with honors at Provo College with a degree in Graphic Design. Eric has spent time consulting and designing for Cannondale, Diadora, Toys R Us and Vetta/Acumen. Eric volunteers his time and serves as the Director of Graphic Design for TotalBlueSports.com, an online website and monthly magazine dedicated to BYU sports. Eric and his family reside in Utah County.

Malessa Villafana – Design
Experienced in both print and web design, Malessa began her journey in the design world while attending Brigham Young University in 2004. There she worked as a designer/web developer for the College of Life Sciences as well as the E-business Center, creating brochures, websites, posters, and ad campaigns. During this time, she expanded her forte by developing skills in photography, illustration, and website development (coding).
In 2006, Malessa graduated from Brigham Young University with a bachelor’s degree in Visual Arts/Graphic Design, and a minor inSpanish. She then took the opportunity to work as a graphic designer for Neways International. At Neways, she created several catalogs, including the first Healthy Homes product catalog, which saw over 20,000 copies on its first run. She also designed monthly newsletters, web graphics, signage, banners, logos, product packaging, and magazine spreads, in addition to art directing a number of photo shoots. While working at Neways, Malessa concurrently became the Creative/Marketing Director for GuildToad, an online software company.
Malessa joined Solution X in August of 2008 and is a highly creative graphic designer, who likes to keep current on design industry trends. Her favorite resources are Communication Arts magazine and StumbleUpon.com. She currently lives in Orem, Utah where she paints and does illustration in her spare time.

Nathan Shields - Marketing, Retention, Sales & Training
Nathan came aboard the Solution X team in June of 2009 as a Project Manager, playing an important role coordinating the efforts for our first two clients to launch on the new "Unity" platform. He now fulfills several roles for the company, including marketing of the system, driving adoption among subscribers, providing system training, and handling public relations at client events. He is also an integral part of the Solution X sales team.
Nathan graduated from Brigham Young University in 2008 with a Bachelor of Science degree in Marketing with an emphasis in International Business and Marketing. In that same year Nathan also played an important marketing role in the rebranding of RubberBall Productions, providing necessary market research and analysis. Nathan brings 2 years of management experience to the table as a Regional Sales Manager for Rollins, Inc. in the Northern Nevada/Lake Tahoe region.
Nathan spent two years living and serving as a missionary in Ecuador and the Galapagos Islands, and is fluent in Spanish. He's passionate about the outdoors, and loves spending time with family and friends. He is very entrepreneurially minded and spends his spare time working on projects and ideas he is passionate about. He and his wife reside in Orem, Utah.
